The agency is one of the largest healthcare communications groups in the world with over 2,800 employees located in 10 countries.
The agency is looking for a Digital Strategist to help drive revenues through the successful development and leadership of the agency's digital offer. The Digital Strategist will lead the agency's Digital strategy (global/pan-EU) and become the authority on all emerging digital media.
Working with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients - consistently delivering unparalleled levels of strategic service, creative and technological innovation, that build richer and more effective interactions between our clients and their customers.
Reporting to the Managing Directors within the agency group.
You will be required to interact with all the senior management of the organisations and the client service teams (Medical Writers, Account Handlers, editorial staff and the creative teams).
Nature/Scope:
* To measurably drive Healthcare Advertising client business through all relevant digital channels.
* To own digital efforts for all Healthcare clients. Within this, lead development on Digital strategy, actions plans, build and working closely with the relevant agency Account Managers to maintain client relationships.
* Develop strategic direction of online marketing, bringing a command of digital best practices, trends and tools to help position online products and drive revenue across the company's client base.
* Strong familiarity and understanding of emerging technology.
* Play an active role within the management team, presenting the digital strategy and plans at management team meetings.

Develop cross media digital strategies to include:
* Website Development - corporate, patient and healthcare professional.
* Search Optimization.
* Customer Generated Media (blogs, social networks, etc.).
* Viral Marketing.
* Three-dimensional Scientific Visualization/ Animation.
* Interactive Games and Experiential Learning.
* KOL Development Tools.
* Learning Portal and Support Services.
* Event-based Training.
* Online Measurement and Analysis.
Personal Situation:
* Able to commute reliably to office base and travel to client sites.
* Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
Specific Job Skills:-
Literacy and Numeracy:
* Solid creative writing skills.
* Good financial awareness with the ability to facilitate accurate forecasts, with a good understanding of profit and loss calculations.
Management Ability:
Internal staff management is a key aspect of the role. Responsibility and opportunity could grow with the development of the business, so people-management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be have a good relevant degree, with significant experience of Digital Marketing in the Healthcare sector gained either from industry, consultancy (medical or pharmaceutical) or an agency environment.
Good IT Skills:
While not a hands-on developer, possesses technical working knowledge of HTML, FLASH, Javascript, Digital technology, Lotus Notes, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
