Job Description

A long contract offering a candidate with some experience the chance to join a well-known consumer marketing company, using and developing marketing skills across product marketing and general marketing campaigns. You will be joining an established team where you'll be able to both learn and contribute. In particular the role offers an introduction to product and category management and the chance to gain core skills as building blocks for a successful career. Working with a range of channels you will analyse product performance and develop / implement communications plans, identifying areas for specific marketing support. You will be liaising closely with agencies, developing new packaging and promotional ideas and also undertaking general tasks such as competitor monitoring. The role needs a candidate with some marketing experience and knowledge, but you could be at an early stage in your career. You must be confident, able to work on your own initiative, but also able to take guidance. As the role has some product responsibilities you should be relatively numerate (e.g. for working-out costings and profitability for retail promotions) but you'll also demonstrate a creative eye. So, if you have experience at marketing executive or marketing assistant level, or even as an account executive or with a placement year behind you, this could be the chance you've been looking for to accelerate your career. The role is over at least 12 months and there is the chance of a longer-term or permanent opportunity.
