The UK online team is one of the core activation teams in the London office which manages a wide variety of clients across all online platforms web, search, affiliates, mobile.
The planner buyer role is to work across a selection of clients but likely to include one or more of Tesco, easyGroup, J&J, Burger King, Fujitsu Siemens, CA, Credit Suisse
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:
Solid knowledge of the online marketplace, including some exposure to
search, affiliates, email, mobile and adserving/tracking technologies
Passionate about online and digital media
Previous involvement in the entire online process from campaign
briefing, planning, implementation, management & optimisation and
reporting
Competent planning & buying and admin skills with very good attention to detail
Able to direct/lead third parties and other stakeholders where relevant
Approachable and excellent team player
Good client facing communicator with some experience of presenting to clients
Good general offline media and marketing knowledge base.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Assisting in management of account activity across major accounts,
able to fully manage smaller accounts from brief to end of campaign
reporting, presentations externally to clients and internally to
account teams.
Earn the trust and respect of the client and key contacts.
Develop relationships with media owners, creative agencies, adservers, research companies etc
Develop strong relationships with strategists and planners internally
Work to deadlines and manage client/strategists expectations
Develop understanding of clients products and business objectives
Manage post campaign analysis and buying reviews
Ensure all media schedules are maintained during the buying process
Provide market intelligence to planning teams on all aspects of the online marketplace
Be seen as valuable and knowledgeable team member across portfolio of accounts
Quality control work of junior team members
Other details:
Academic profile graduate, numerate, analytical and creative.
Language requirements - English written and oral essential other languages desirable
Technology skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential, Atlas,
Doubleclick, TangoZebra, MediaPlex and other adserving tools, search
optimisation tools
Google qualified is also desirable but not essential
Research skills understand how to employ desktop research tools, (web address removed) , ComScore, etc
Personal qualities - An interesting person who has ability to
challenge the norm, and has a real work hard play hard attitude to
their work.
