Internet Research Analyst Piracy
Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Up to £25,000 DOE

As a leading provider of domain names and Internet-related services, our client has registered hundreds of thousands of domain names and hosts thousands of websites. With a wide range of services, including brand monitoring, their clients come from many industries and include over 30% of the FTSE 100. Due to their current success, they are now looking to recruit an Internet Research Analyst to join their division that monitors the Internet for brand abuse, fraud, counterfeiting and piracy.

In this role you will join a small but widely respected piracy intelligence department which provides research, analysis, monitoring, and consultancy to content owners throughout the world including movie studios, television networks and the music industry.

Reporting to the department Team Lead, as an Internet Research Analyst you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining internal systems, researching ongoing and specific tasks, producing analysis, and helping to create new tools.

Your duties will include:

- writing analysis for clients and internal departments
- identifying, assessing, and reporting on specific items of interest
- using, monitoring and maintaining internal systems
- drawing results and trends from a wide range of data

Though specific related experience isn't required, to succeed as an Internet Research Analyst you must be able to demonstrate a keen intelligence, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of internet technologies. Ideally you will also have a very good understanding of peer-to-peer technologies.

Additionally, you must be degree educated (or equivalent), and possess the ability to quickly understand, assess and report on new items of interest. You should also have the ability to work on your own initiative.
