This innovative charity is looking for a Digital Media Assistant for a 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of it being extended. As part of the communications team, the Digital Media Assistant assists the development of their internet based communications, including the website, social media tools, intranet, extranets and email.
Responsibilities include:
*Coordinate the creation and distribution of content for their websites and intranet. *Engage with staff to use web based tools to their full potential.
*Ensure that content on their websites, blogs and extranets is up to date and presented effectively in terms of accessibility and usability.
*Develop, implement and manage processes and workflows to ensure timely delivery of content or technical projects for internal stakeholders.
*Support the development and distribution of their e-newsletters.
*Support the communications department with web editing and preparation of online content (including multimedia, links and feeds).
*Analyse and report on statistics and other key performance indicators for the websites, email campaigns and social media tools.
*Investigate and evaluate new ways of delivering content and communication online.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Successful track record of roles in knowledge/information management or relevant internal communications experience.
*Successful track record of working within a web environment demonstrating in depth knowledge of best practice in web and information delivery.
*Experience of HTML,CSS and/or Dreamweaver.
*Experience with online communities, wikis, and/or extranets
