Job Description

Our client is part of a well established global business who provide innovative educational products from classroom resources, through school technologies, to systems for marking exams and delivering school performance data.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new business venture. Joining a dedicated team the E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for all online marketing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and launch preparation:
Prepare the initiative for a digital launch. Working on the planning and set up, including bringing the site to market, content development, SEO and PPC campaign set up. Also included will be work on a successful and innovative internal launch.

Drive site traffic through search (natural and paid) and email marketing:
Working closely with the team you will be expected to drive significant amounts of traffic to the site through SEO, PPC and where appropriate affiliate advertising. Email marketing will also be used to drive new visitors as well as re-engaging with existing customers. Campaigns must be designed and delivered to maximise ROI (paid and SEO). A clear strategy must be in place which adheres to latest and best practice as well and being timely and relevant.

Deliver quality content that converts visitors to buyers:
You will be responsible for deploying quality and engaging content to aide conversion. This will revolve around:
Ensuring products are depicted using comprehensive but appropriate means to cover a wide variety of media, i.e. copy, pictures, video etc. making the site easier to use for our target customers.
 Looking at site improvements such as payment options, layout, search and navigation improvement, usability, personalised content based on interests and behaviour, recommendations etc.
 User experience and A/B testing.

PR and social media:
You will work with the Social Media Executive and others to ensure campaign materials are deployed in an effective and timely manner. It is essential that the value of social media is fully exploited.

Deliver on hard financial targets:
Critical will be to grow online channel's order intake, hitting challenging financial targets, primarily through increasing traffic and conversion whilst at the same time managing advertising budget effectively.

The successful candidate will have extensive, up-to-date experience of digital marketing tools and techniques including - as a minimum - demonstrable success in:
Search marketing - paid and natural.
 E-mail marketing.
 Content creation.
 Use of content management systems.
 Expose to and understanding of social media.
 Analytical tools such as Google Analytics.
