We require a Web Team Leader to work within our offices in South London and shall pay an annual salary up to £40,000 + Benefits.
As part of this role you will be working closely with Regional Team Leaders and Project Coordinators and will be responsible for improving our solutions and online presence.
The purpose of this role is to provide management support to the Creative Director and run the UK Web Team on a day to day basis. You the ideal candidate will play a major role in the success of the company's online presence, making sure the activities and efforts within our fast growing team are organised and effective.
General Responsibilities
The Web Team Leader will have a complete understanding of the site's information architecture and can advise on the capability and workings of the site. When developing the site, The Web Team Leader will work in conjunction with the Creative Director and Web Designers/developers, and will be able to make recommendations and advise on industry best practises.
The Web Team Leader will work closely with the regional team leaders to ensure the team's workflow is efficient and the team's skill set is complete.
The Web Team Leader will demonstrate:
· Working with the Creative Director to supervise the design and development of large scale projects
· Accessing and trouble-shooting technical problems and implementing agreed solutions
· Mentoring and training the team, in particular W3C standard XHTML, XHTML/CSS, JavaScript, Ajax & .Net
· Monitoring the quality of code generated in the site
· Documenting and writing specifications for new projects or modules
· Reviewing the usability of the site and making improvements where necessary
· Maintaining and strengthening the online brand
· Complete understanding of the site's information architecture and ability to advise and implement recommendations
· Monitoring the site for down-time or performance deficits and taking the appropriate action
· Evaluating the site's content to ensure suitability and relevance
· Ensuring the site is optimized for all the major search engines
· Writing XHTML/Flash/Java Script as required for work that falls outside the scope of database structure
· Implementing new strategies in order to improve the effectiveness of the web as a marketing tool
· Providing monthly reports on web team activities
· Reporting on effectiveness of the web team resources
· Ensuring the department runs effectively and delivers projects on time and budget
