Our digital communications agency client is looking for a Technical Project Manager who will liaise between their creative and development teams, the client services team and clients. They will be involved in defining, planning, costing and delivering all aspects of client digital development projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding and highly successful digital agency.
Specific Technical Project Manager responsibilities will include:
- Offering expert technical interactive advice throughout the digital project process to all departments
- Inputting into developing and high-level client strategy planning and review sessions
- Taking ownership of small-to-medium sized development-focused projects and co-managing larger digital projects
- Offering expert technical advice at the beginning of projects
- Representing the company at client meetings where technical expertise is required
- Commissioning, briefing, managing, costing and evaluating the work of third-party contractors
- Producing estimates and schedules for all work to be undertaken and creating and presenting fully-costed project proposals to clients
- Facilitating communication between all appropriate team members explaining, in layman’s terms, any technical requirements or constraints to manage projects effectively
- Taking responsibility for maintenance of the live database server and development server (both operating on SQL): cleaning, problem solving and carrying out back-ups
The successful candidate will need to be self motivated, committed, enthusiastic and flexible as well as have a minimum of three years’ experience of digital project management and an in-depth knowledge of SQL, HTML, XML, Flash, PHP and content management systems. You will have a superb understanding of DM and digital creative/production processes and will be able to work well in a team environment.
