Job Description

My client, a well established Business Services Organisation in Northampton is currently looking to expand their online department and a fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a New Media Co-ordinator.

 

The Role

 

The main purpose of the role is to co-ordinate, maintain, develop and promote the organisations website, together with all online activity. Main responsibilities of the role are:-

 

·         Responsible for all Online presence, liaising with suppliers and internal/external customers as required.

·         Ensure that the website local content is created within national guidelines

·         To co-ordinate, develop and issue the monthly eNEwsletter and eShot communications to deadline, maximising market penetration

·         Produce reports for key performance indicators such as web visits, user registrations and website interactions, using catalyst web analytics

·         Liaise with the IT/Marketing team over hosting, development and security

·         Work on other websites as appropriate or deemed unnecessary

·         Work as part of the marketing team, supporting colleagues as required and developing and implementing plans which link with overall marketing strategy.

 

The Person

 

Preferably with a marketing background with an understanding of the role of websites/new media in the promotional and marketing mix, you will:-

 

  • Possess excellent organisational skills able to project and time manage effectively
  • Have the ability to be a creative thinker
  • Have an excellent eye for detail with a consistent and thorough approach
  • Have experience using web stats analysis packages
  • Awareness of new media promotional techniques such as HTML/text emails and SMS.

 

 

 

 

  • Have an awareness of forthcoming web standards and legislations such as HTML, CSS, Web accessibility initiative and Disability Discrimination Act particularly desirable
  • Have experience of using photo- editing suits such as Adobe Photoshop an advantage
