Europe's largest integrated betting and gaming company, employing around 19,000 employees. As well as over 1,700 betting offices, bingo clubs and casinos, they have a significant online presence in the UK and throughout Europe. Due to substantial growth in their online offer, the E-Commerce Division currently has an excellent opportunity for a Web Designer / HTML CSS Coder. You will work in a team to produce high quality websites, working closely with graphic designers and IT developers.
Responsibilities will include building XHTML/CSS templates from provided designs following best coding practice and in-house guidelines. Building web sites, micro sites and promotional pages based on a content management system used. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing websites
You should be an experienced Web Designer with either academic background or proven experience in an IT environment. The candidate will be required to show a portfolio of frontend design/development work. Expert in XHTML and CSS including cross browser issues. Solid understanding of accessibility standards including WCAG. Advanced in SEO frontend development practices and knowledge in frontend performance optimisation. Basic knowledge of Flash, XML, DOM and JavaScript.
You should have the ability to collaborate with project managers, account managers, developers and to work within a team or on your own is essential. You will need to be an analytical thinker, well organised and reliable. Good technical and communication skills and the ability to provide appropriate technical solutions to business related problems.
An interest in Sports and Gaming would be an advantage.
