Interactive communications agency of about 30 people based in Islington are currently looking for an experienced Head of Design to lead a team of Designers producing outstanding and best practice print and interactive communications, websites and applications. Your remit will be to take concepts and produce outstanding designs and animations in both PhotoShop and flash. You will be responsible for projects being on-time, on-budget and of quality execution.
You will be hands on as well as directing and managing other Designers. You will be working as part of a team alongside creative teams, Copywriters, Project Managers, Information Architects and Developers at all stages of the job cycle.
You should be a highly creative, intelligent, dynamic and self motivated individual, with extreme attention to detail, ability to manage others and excellent oral and written communication skills. You will live and breathe design. Have a proven track record of developing outstanding work off line, on line and through the line for leading brands. You will be fully conversant with the limitations and opportunities of the interactive space but always pushing the boundaries.
At least 2 years experience managing design teams in a hands on role and 6 years experience of online design. Thorough understanding of the principles of marketing communications, ability to manage and execute projects while ensuring that every last detail is covered. High level of expertise in PhotoShop, In Design and Illustrator, good working knowledge of Flash and Motion Graphics. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to think creatively and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
