Job Description

My client is a leading Professional Services Provider with a great national presence. As part of the ongoing development within there Digital team they now require a Web Applications Officer to support them in their growth strategy.

You will be responsible for planning, specifying and managing web application projects, launching new e-commerce solutions and delivering digital production aimed at driving business and consumer prospects to the Firm.

This role involves helping the business define their web needs and getting them processed through to completion. Activity will include management of projects involving corporate websites, new legal services/products, mirco-sites, third party offerings, online event management, blogs, podcasts and other evolving online media.

You will identify requirements and define solutions. This will be done by helping different business areas to shape their requirements and confirming the problems that need to be solved, establishing and setting timelines, budgets and expectations. You will work with the Web Design & Development Team to deliver these solutions and scope the work to address requirements within the resource and budget available. You'll need to clearly articulate how the web can meet the strategic objectives and individual initiatives of teams.

You'll act as an internal account manager before, during and after the brief writing process and will identify risks and escalate them in a timely and professional manner. When necessary you will also utilise and manage external digital agencies.

To be considered for this role you must have previously managed online projects from either an agency or client side perspective and should display a good understanding of digital production. You must also be able to demonstrate clear understanding and experience of the phases required for user experience led digital projects. Possessing knowledge of development approaches such as agile would be beneficial but not essential for interview.

This job is commutable of Leeds, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Barnsley and Sheffield
