Job Description

Major retailer in Yorkshire is looking for a Online Marketing Executive to join their busy marketing department.

The role will mainly involve:

Reporting directly to the Ecommerce Manager, the Online Marketing Executive will be responsible for managing the implementation of the marketing plans to optimize the brand online, including brand awareness/exposure and traffic and to maximize online financial KPI's. The Online Marketing Executive will also be responsible for managing weekly reporting, using Google Analytics, Omniture and Internal systems to measure performance by key channels and report back the Ecommerce Manager on a weekly basis.

Main duties:

  • Development of the Ecommerce strategy to recruit, retain and reactivate customers in line with the overall business strategy and to improve brand awareness with the core target market
  • To analyse external factors and internal trends to establish actions to improve KPI's including incremental sales and other core metrics such as penetration, orders and conversion
  • To plan and implement the online marketing communications strategy including paid search, affiliates, email campaigns and other online activities
  • To optimize the commercial investment budget to achieve budgeted KPI's such as new customers, web demand, customer loyalty and coversion
  • To manage external agencies and suppliers to maximise performance and improve efficiencies within the online marketing communications plan.
  • To manage the web development programme ensuring all commercial priorities are satisfied, brand deadlines are met and the platform delivers maximum efficiency for the business.
  • To review online customer buying behaviour through the use of web analytics tools to identify areas for improvement and recommend the most effective strategies to maximise performance.
  • Manage the website content, liaising with the International teams to ensure products are on the site, categorised and ranked correctly and in-line with the strategy
  • Develop social media channels (Facebook and Twitter), increasing numbers of followeers and fans, utilising the channel as both a Recruitment and CRM opportunity
  • To manage 1 direct report at student placement level, mentoring and showing guidance on a day to day basis to optimise output from the team
