Our client is a major UK financial services business that has enjoyed sustained growth of both its revenues and customer-base in recent years, bucking trends across the rest of the sector. On the back of this expansion they are intent on leveraging increased value from their digital assets and channels to customer and are now looking to recruit a Senior Ecommerce Manager.
The role will play a hugely important part in the development of the key product line of current accounts as an area of strategic growth for the organisation. Your primary remit will be to drive product sales through co-ordinated ecommerce initiatives, demonstrating a latent understanding of how ecommerce fits into a multi-channel business.
The ideal candidate will come from the current accounts team of a major financial services business and will understand how this product works together with others to help a business to grow its revenues. Alternatively, you may have worked in another large business on other 'gateway'-type poducts such as broadband or utilities and will have experience in how a business goes about selling its 'relationship' product through digital channels.
It is difficult to express the scale of the opportunity presented by this vacancy for a skilled, competent and ambitious ecommerce manager. The business has decided to invest heavily in its digital assets and the oppoirtunity for growth is enormous. For this reason, you must be of a strong character and will be highly commercial, possessing strong influencing skills and leadership abilities.
