Head of New Business Development

My client is an aggressively growing media communications agency in Leeds. Due to exceptional growth and expansion plans, they are now looking for an enthusiastic, professional and self driven individual to head up their New Business Development department.
This new role encompasses a key area of their business, which has historically been under resourced and lacking in management direction and control. The implication is obvious from both a growth perspective and the agency now requires a planned and formalised approach to new business development, linked to sustainable and realistic targets and objectives.
My client is one of the top 3 media agencies boasting staffing levels of well over 100 people.
My client is looking for someone with a solid grounding within the agency arena and is able to research, drive and control the new business process, once an initial appointment with a prospect has been made. You must also have a strong background and good understanding of the more traditional media channels to market.
Key Responsibilities
The development of a new business strategy for the agency.
The establishment of KPIs for the new business function.
A more focused approach on clients or sectors, which are a strong fit with the agencys core skills and strengths.
The development and improvement of their presentations in terms of both content and format.
The establishment and maintenance of a prospect database.
The exploitation of that database via the planning and implementation of mailing campaigns.
A structured corporate entertaining programme.
The development and enhancement of the website as a marketing tool for the agency.
Raising the profile of the companies brand via a consistent PR effort.
Maintaining networking contacts with key stakeholders in the client and media communities.
Salary is negotiable dependant upon experience, skills and qualifications.
