Senior Online Marketing Manager

Our client is a major player in the Consumer Durables market.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Online Marketing Manager to develop one of their key categories. You will be responsible for developing a major digital brand. You will lead the online presence of the brand by pushing boundaries and being creative.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and spearhead a major drive of products into the online arena.
- Create the strategy in terms of defining the product, pricing and promotional propositions
- You will contribute to the development of a coherent strategy for optimising business with 3rd party retailers operating mainly in the online space
- You will also develop a clear strategy for general online communications in the product area.
- This will include optimising the benefits the Category gains from the existing website developing suitable added value additional content (microsites) and developing a first class programme of CRM activities in the category area.
You will form a key part of the management team in driving marketing projects
- You will be expected to set correct budgeting levels of expenditure for both developments and ongoing costs and to manage these funds effectively with stakeholders, being held accountable for ROI generated
- You will be expected to specify a robust reporting and analytics process to measure progress against KPIs and to determine ROI
- You will line manage a small team of full timers and contractors.

Education & Experience

- Likely to have an excellent educational record to at least Degree level. Specialist qualifications in marketing are not required but may be a plus point
- An established professional marketer who has a demonstrable track record in shaping or contributing to the online presence of a marketing company (Retailer, manufacturer or direct sales organisation operating in the consumer technology or branded durable goods sectors)
- Solid career experience in online marketing, including Web 2.0, with clear evidence of delivering important marketing initiatives online. Actual experience of leadership in projects rather than mere participation is key.
- Familiarity with other aspects of marketing communications and preferably experience of working on integrated (online/offline) marketing projects.
- Outstanding organisational and project management skills , including experience working in ?virtual teams ? in a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation
- Strategic thinker with the clear potential to go beyond operational detail and to display visionary thinking and ?Big picture? commercial understanding.
- Ambitious with the high potential to become a known, well respected ?Major player? both within the company and in the wider industry.
- Demonstrable evidence of excellent implementation and delivery skills, plus the potential to become a strategic player at senior management level are far more important than technical web skills or website design creativity.
