Business Development Manager - market research (no cold calling)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 plus
Location: Surrey
A progressive market research agency is looking for a Business Development Manager who acts as "the bridge" between Researchers and Business Development Directors. Working within the Business Development team the purpose of the role is to help develop and maintain revenue from a list of current and prospective clients in line with pre-determined business targets.
The main responsibility is to support the BDDs in their achievement of their sales objectives. Although the role will not carry a specific sales target, bonuses will be dependent on success in supporting sales targets.

§Proven track record in a market research or marketing role (agency or client side)

§Educated to degree level

§Numerate and analytical
§Good time management skills
Main Responsibilities:
§Working closely with current clients to drive total customer satisfaction and hence repeat business
§Become the 'first choice' point of contact amongst current clients
§Liaise between the client and the project/analysis team (researchers) to ensure that promises on all deliverables and timelines are being met
§Solicit and resolve all client concerns
§To take the lead in coordinating all aspects of the brief-to-proposal submission process (for all current and prospective clients), to including brainstorming of the brief, proposal writing, cost generation, dialogue with the client, managing the coordination and delivery of contributions to the proposal, e.g. from the Sales support team, attendance of briefing, pitching and kick-off meetings
§Preparation of detail sales account plans, designed to help achieve department objectives of revenue growth.
