Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager (Home or Office Based)
Woking
£30,000 DOE Plus Share Options (after qualifying period), Car, Mobile, Laptop

Our client has been providing quality industrial and commercial fixed point gas detection systems and environmental monitoring services since 1986. During this time they have gained an enviable reputation in the market place, due to their team of highly experienced technical staff. An opportunity has now arisen for a talented Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager to join their team and play a key role.

Whether you're a proven sales professional with a track record in a technical industry, or you're an experienced Project Manager looking to get into sales this role offers ample scope to develop your skills and career.

As a Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing and securing new clients, accounts, contracts and orders by selling our client's continuous gas detection and environmental monitoring services with the view to increase the overall UK profile of the company. This role can be office or home based, and it is envisaged you will spend four days a week out on the road visiting clients across the UK and Ireland.

Upon joining you will be based in the office where you will receive comprehensive technical training. Once trained, you will then work with clients in a range of different industry sectors in order to seek new business opportunities. Your duties will include:

- writing and logging quotations
- reviewing trade magazines and the internet for new projects
- arranging appointments to meet new and existing customers in the UK and Ireland
- preparing PowerPoint presentations for sales meetings
- attending trade exhibitions and exhibiting the company's products/service

To succeed as a Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager you must have a proven sales track record within a technical industry. Our client is also keen to hear from experienced Project Managers or Technical Service Engineers looking for their first sales role.

You will also need to be self motivated and able to take responsibility for your own sales quotations; therefore you must be computer literate in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and/or AutoCAD. Additionally, you must have a clean driving licence, and the ability to work with a range of people from Lab Technicians and Facilities Manager, to Project Managers and Construction workers.
