Job Description

Have just had and exciting new vacancy in for a Junior graphic/digital designer for a succesful company in Berkshire . They are the market leader in developing and nurturing innovative health devices that become global successes within the fastest possible timeframe.

Your work will be challenging, exciting, meaningful, rewarding and absolutely key to us ensuring that they continues to grow as one of the leading companies in sourcing, distributing and developing early adoption health products first to the market.

Job purpose:

To develop and manage the website content and online communications in line with company / product branding policies across numerous sites. Working with an external web development agency on the delivery of retail-orientated websites.

As a junior designer you will be able to effectively translate ideas into design executions, ensuring a consistently high level of design quality - both for digital use and print. You should be able to demonstrate a good level of skill, understanding and knowledge across the industry standard range of design and digital applications (Adobe Creative Suite - CS5 essential, HTML/CSS good working knowledge, Photoshop, Wordpress, Flash and Java ideal to have). Any experience with Magento a definite benefit.

Ideally you have a minimum of 2 years demonstrable, relevant experience and a strong portfolio featuring both digital and offline designs. Most importantly, you have a great "can do" attitude and a strong willingness to learn new things.

You'll be expected to assist where needed to the wider design and creative department (includes print production process).

Key activities:

·         Working closely with graphic designer and marketing team to produce and manage content across global websites with a transactional value of over £6m.

·         Working with an external web agency to manage our Magento platform across all sites

·         Basic HTML coding & CSS content formatting in Magento

·         Creating banners & static blocks

·         Uploading video's / creating new pages

·         Assisting Graphic Designer with offline projects

·         Designing email communications

Experience & Skills

• At least 1 - 2+ years demonstrable, relevant experience
• Solid design & digital understanding
• Excellent soft ware skill: Adobe Creative Suite - CS5, HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Wordpress, Flash and Java experience
• Preferably worked on a Magento platform
• Good communication skills
• Brand aware
• Must have a "can do" attitude & a strong willingness to learn
• Must be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Organised and able to deliver to a deadline
• Will need to build strong relationships with team members and external partners

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
