This charity website receives over 250,000 unique visitors a month and provides vital help and information to its users. They are currently in the middle of an exciting new programme of work to redevelop their own intranet and website.
To help achive these plans they are currenty looking for a Senior Web Developer to support and manage their current content management system and bespoke accessible web applications. You will manage three members of the development team to help achieve this aim. You will also play a lead role in the move to a new content management system over the next year.
You should have an in-depth and practical experience of coding with (web address removed) 2.0 (C#), as well as XHTML, XML, CSS and creating online forms, in addition you will also need knowledge of scripting languages e.g. PHP, Javascript and ASP as well as applied knowledge of SQL and integration with databases.
Knowledge of the maintenance, support and development of content management systems is a key part of this role, and demonstrable experience of Microsoft SharePoint is desirable.
You should be capable of thinking off innovative accessible ways to improve online presence, have the willingness to get the job done, using your own initiative and with a proactive approach.
This is initally a one year fixed term contract based on a 36 hour working week.
